Binay, Poe & Roxas Sino ang Tama, Tungkol sa Kinikilos ng INC?

Binay, Poe & Roxas Sino ang Tama, Tungkol sa Kinikilos ng INC?

Poe, Binay, Roxas hit for reaction to INC protests

Politicians who try to appease the leaders of the politically influential INC must be condemned, a former ally of the administration said.

''The INC disruption of Metro Manila is simply unacceptable and politicians conciliating these fanatics must be condemned,'' Bello said

The INC came under fire on social media after thousands of motorists and commuters got stranded due to its members' protest action which started in Manila on Thursday and continued along EDSA on Friday.

Bello also scored the government for easily giving in to the powerful sect's whims. He noted how members of the Left are not given this kind of accommodation when they hold mass actions.

The INC leadership has been riled by the move of expelled INC minister and Pasugo editor-in-chief Isaias Samson Jr. to file illegal detention charges against the INC leadership, triggering INC protests at the Department of Justice against De Lima.

The INC members are invoking separation of state and church in demanding that De Lima not meddle in the affairs of INC. They accused De Lima of ''selective justice."

Even though one of the main calls in the mass action is respect for the separation of state and church, the INC has without a doubt established itself as a kingmaker during elections because of the potential of its estimated 2 million members to bring victory to election BETS who receive the church's precious endorsement.

This might also become the case for Liberal Party (LP) standard bearer Mar Roxas, who ruffled some feathers when he said that the rights of the INC faithful to hold a protest must not impinge on other people's rights.

'DE LIMA WON'T ALLOW HERSELF TO BE USED'
Bello is also not buying theories that the Palace has started a campaign against the century-old sect because the latter had supposedly indicated that it will not support Roxas in 2016.

''I doubt that very much. The administration may be stupid, but it would not be stupid enough to sick De Lima on them for that. And de Lima, for all her shortcomings, would not be stupid enough to allow herself to be used that way."
The Palace itself denied that the government was out to harass the INC.

In a radio interview Saturday, deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte pointed out that the DOJ has not yet even acted on the complaint against the eight INC leaders.

"Siguro po let us focus on the situation at hand. Katulad po, let us just emphasize, na 'yung mayroon pong nagreklamo sa DOJ at kakasampa lang po 'nung reklamo. Wala pa hong nagiging aksyon ang DOJ dito... So hindi po natin alam kung ano ho 'yung sinasabing na-co-construe na harassment," Valte said.
She also said she has no information on whether the Liberal Party had courted the INC to support the candidacy of Roxas and De Lima.

'NO DOUBLE STANDARDS'
Bello said what the INC is doing is unacceptable as its members' exercise of its ''freedom of speech'' was already violating a much greater right.

''When the right to free speech is exercised to deliberately wreck public order and create chaos for the vast majority, then the government must place the welfare of the majority in command,'' he said.

Bello said while he had differences with the De Lima in the past, he is siding with the latter on this issue.
''I may have differences with Sec of Justice de Lima on a number of issues, particularly on the DOJ's lack of energy in prosecuting sex for flight and human trafficking cases, but she is right on this one, on extending protection and judicial remedy to INC members who feel their lives are threatened by their Church hierarchy,'' he said.

Bello said the INC is wrong to invoke the separation of church and state in this case. He said any allegation of crime is theBUSINESS of the state.

''If a Roman Catholic priest is accused of sexual exploitation of minors, he would be subject to secular prosecution by the state and would never be allowed to invoke the separation of Church and State principle to protect him from prosecution. The same in the INC case. No double standards,'' he said.

''The administration must be firm on this one, and both administration and opposition politicians who conciliate the INC must be roundly condemned."

Disclaimer: This post may offend some of my INC friends. Read at your own discretion, matatalinong comments are welcome. Lol
"Wala sana kami sa kalsada kung hindi pinakekealaman ang IGLESIA."
This was one of the banners I saw this morning in EDSA Shaw. I browsed my newsfeed, read news articles about what has happened and transpired since the alleged illegal detention of some INC officials boomed few weeks ago.
First of all, wala sana kayo sa kalsada kung hindi niyo kinasuhan ang isa't isa.
Parang nakakalimot tayo. It was your people who exposed the 'internal-conflicts-whatever-they-are' about your group that should have been kept internal. It was your people who threw rocks against your brothers. It was your people who filed charges against one another. You made all these. Why do non-INC commuters have to suffer because you paralyzed a big part of EDSA considering the current state of our traffic system? That my friends, is what I can't understand.
You are assaulting Department of Justice because they get in the way of your internal issues. You are mauling them for doing their job. Again, my friends, you filed legal charges. Automatically, DoJ will do its job. Bakit sila kasali sa issue niyo? Do I need to answer that for you?
Pangalawa, why are you trying to paralyze government offices on a Saturday? Really? On a Saturday? Well you are not successful. Because it is Saturday. But you are successful in making the lives of the commuters a pure hell on a Saturday where the traffic should be smooth, and public transportations should be easy.
And while walking along EDSA-Shaw this morning, I hope that while some of you are busy taking selfies, sleeping on the walkways and waving and rejoicing when TV cameras roll live, I hope you also found time to clean up the emptied Jollibee food bags you left along EDSA.
You care for your brothers and that is good. But you didn’t care for us--non-INC people. Is that the compassion you share? Exclusive compassion? Limited? Just like the ‘kami-lang-ang-maliligtas’ concept you are known for?
Pangatlo, what makes an INC member untouchable by the Philippine Constitution? There has to be an investigation. That is how it should go. All legal matters must undergo due process. Just because you don’t want the government to interfere anymore does not mean you can get it anytime you want. By rallying, by showing us how solid your numbers are? Spoiled ba? Kung gano’n sana, de tayo na lang masunod sa mga gusto natin.
Folks, numbers don't win wars.
Separation of church and state? Is that really what you want? May I ask why are you endorsing politicians during election campaign periods? How ironic is that?
